The targeted audience for this gig i would say from the ages of 16 to 30 as all the music playing is very modern and stylish in the younger generation, and older people would most likely not appreciate the festival and atmosphere as mush as younger people would.
Funds for this festival came from there sponsors (barclays) and from Kiss radio, witch they should make most of the money back by the end of the festival from ticket money and drinks and foods brought on the site.
The festivals artistic policy is all about the music and dancing there is also a feel of social gathering bringing loads of people to the same place to dance and listen to there favorite musicians and bands.

group change

We have all moved around groups now to change what we are researching. And now me and Liam have moved to group five were we will be researching about Tv in cambridge and interactive media.

Queen and two Jacks Review

Reviews

The penultimate band to take to the stage brought with them an unrivalled anticipation that has remained absent from the competition thus far. The youngest band to take to the stage, 'Queen and Two Jacks’ proved they could hold a stage just as successfully as their peers, and that they are more than just a clever name; a fact only broadened by the legions of adoring fans that arrived specifically for this band's performance. Commencing the set with relevant apprehension, the trio were immediately overwhelmed with an eruption of approval, no doubt evocative of previous performances in the area. This pop induced frenzy in turn encouraged the arrival of the competition's first crowd surf; a sight to behold in a venue plagued by size restrictions and an ever increasing audience. The pop trio create a musical landscape that relentlessly shifts from choppy to driving guitars and a technically ambitious keyboard, while the simple rhythm section aspires to keep the band in time.

Scene Progress Report

So fare the scene project i have written a article about a non local and a local band, we have also been to the junction and done practice job interviews. I still need to interview my chosen band also write up a review on something in or around cambridge, we have Creative & Media industry this helped me to understand were the creative & media diploma could get me later in life. I found information for the singers/bands on the internet looking at were they are performing and reading what the host has written about them. I think so fare in the scene course it has been pretty interesting also it has helped me to know what i can do better when i go to a interview. I think i could improve my work by making sure i finish my work on time and keep track of were I'm at an making sure in up to date with all my work, next in the scene unit i am planning to get a interview with a local band, also write a review about something around cambridge.

11/03/2010 junction

At the junction we was planning our interviews and practicing for real life interviews, there was several options of jobs that we could apply for. we got a peace of paper which told us about the position and there expectancies they are looking for. After we looked at these we had to fill in a quick c.v that our interviewers would be looking at. Once we done the cv's we all split up to do our interview, after the interviews we all sat down and asked the interviewers are questions and they told us how we done.

My 3 questions for junction

1) what is the atmosphere like in this business?

2)Were did you start?

3) What qualifications do you need?

Tinchy Stryder is the biggest selling UK male artist of the year.  With two number 1 singles, a certified gold album, a much-in-demand clothing line and a sold out headline tour under his belt, it is no surprise that he has been described as 'Britain's hottest new rapper' (Guardian) who 'has been instrumental in turning British Urban music from a minority interest into a commercially successful mainstream scene' (The Times).

Acro Iris Samba

Acro Lris Samba

This band is well formed, all with matching tops so that the public also the group knows who is with what. the places the band members are persitioned are also arranged in order having the small an light instruments at the fron of the band, and the larger instruments at the back. This tells thr audience that they are every organised and know what they are doing. they also have a leader which stands at the front of the band directing then on what to do next and also who should stop & start. The movment of there feet are a very important piece in the band but is over look most of the time, but this is to help the band members to keep there rythem through out the soung. They also have a very troditional beat to there music unlike most bands theys days adding bits of D&B or funky and dubstep in there music.

Thudbox - Bal A

The Thudbox Bal A are also a samba band but this band have more of a moden feel to there music with bits of funky and dubstep in there beat unlike the Acro Lris Samba bands tunes was more of the original sounds of samba. This band dosnt seem to have a costume so would be hard for the public to identify the band, both bands seem well organised an know what they are doing but, i think that this band would catch the eyes of most youths and get the younger gerneration of people to listen to them proform.

SAMBA BAND!

the reason i chose this video was because i like the way they perform there music and its lively.
they work together very well as a team and stay in sync with each other also you can tell they are a well know and professional band.
there costumes are all made for each other also thy match so people watching knows who is in the group but there not wearing any traditional samba clothing.
this performance is held in a public park were many families go.
comparing this band to are band at the junction they are a lot better then us but with practice we could become very good.
