Queen and two Jacks Review

Reviews

The penultimate band to take to the stage brought with them an unrivalled anticipation that has remained absent from the competition thus far. The youngest band to take to the stage, 'Queen and Two Jacks’ proved they could hold a stage just as successfully as their peers, and that they are more than just a clever name; a fact only broadened by the legions of adoring fans that arrived specifically for this band's performance. Commencing the set with relevant apprehension, the trio were immediately overwhelmed with an eruption of approval, no doubt evocative of previous performances in the area. This pop induced frenzy in turn encouraged the arrival of the competition's first crowd surf; a sight to behold in a venue plagued by size restrictions and an ever increasing audience. The pop trio create a musical landscape that relentlessly shifts from choppy to driving guitars and a technically ambitious keyboard, while the simple rhythm section aspires to keep the band in time.

Scene Progress Report

So fare the scene project i have written a article about a non local and a local band, we have also been to the junction and done practice job interviews. I still need to interview my chosen band also write up a review on something in or around cambridge, we have Creative & Media industry this helped me to understand were the creative & media diploma could get me later in life. I found information for the singers/bands on the internet looking at were they are performing and reading what the host has written about them. I think so fare in the scene course it has been pretty interesting also it has helped me to know what i can do better when i go to a interview. I think i could improve my work by making sure i finish my work on time and keep track of were I'm at an making sure in up to date with all my work, next in the scene unit i am planning to get a interview with a local band, also write a review about something around cambridge.

11/03/2010 junction

At the junction we was planning our interviews and practicing for real life interviews, there was several options of jobs that we could apply for. we got a peace of paper which told us about the position and there expectancies they are looking for. After we looked at these we had to fill in a quick c.v that our interviewers would be looking at. Once we done the cv's we all split up to do our interview, after the interviews we all sat down and asked the interviewers are questions and they told us how we done.

My 3 questions for junction

1) what is the atmosphere like in this business?

2)Were did you start?

3) What qualifications do you need?

Tinchy Stryder is the biggest selling UK male artist of the year.  With two number 1 singles, a certified gold album, a much-in-demand clothing line and a sold out headline tour under his belt, it is no surprise that he has been described as 'Britain's hottest new rapper' (Guardian) who 'has been instrumental in turning British Urban music from a minority interest into a commercially successful mainstream scene' (The Times).
